PHONETIC-PHONOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF LANGUAGE AS AN OBJECT OF COMPARATIVE STUDY
Abstract
The comparison of the system of phonemes of different languages should therefore be based on the phonetic and phonological levels of the languages being compared. Comparative studies of the phonetic and phonological systems of languages in the synchronic aspect are primarily aimed at determining the essence of these linguistic systems in linguistic science. Phonetics and phonology as the scientific branches of linguistics define the same unit as the object of research – the phoneme, only phonetic science studies its physical side, and phonology-its functional aspect.
Comparative study of the phonetic and phonological systems of languages in synchronic aspect directed primarily at determining the nature of the linguistic systems in linguistic science.
